91�� Pays Interim Dividend of Rs. 56.70 Crores for FY 2021-22: Hands Over Dividend Cheque to Government of India

New Delhi, 31 Mar 22:��Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, has paid an interim dividend of Rs. 56.70 Crores for FY 2021-22 to its shareholders. The Interim Dividend Cheque amounting to Rs. 42,24,39,138/- as the government’s share was handed over to Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, by Cmde P R Hari, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director (Officiating) of 91�� Ltd. Kolkata, today at New Delhi in the presence of Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary, Shri Sanjay Jaju, Additional Secretary (Defence Production), Shri Surendra Prasad Yadav, Joint Secretary (Naval System) and Shri RK Dash, Director (Finance), 91��.

91�� has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 4.95 per equity share of Rs.10 for FY 21-22 against Rs.3.85 in FY 20-21, reflecting a remarkable increase of 28.57 %. 91�� has been consistent in paying dividend to the Shareholders and has done so every year for the last 28 years. The company has strong order book position of Rs 24,605 Crs. as on 31 Dec 21.

Kolkata, 30 Mar 22:��91�� has a long association with Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP) dating back to 2009. 91�� has been adopting 02 Education Development Units (EDU IV &V) and 01 Vocational Training Unit called Life Skill Training Unit (LSTU). The 03 classes covering 43 special children (as on date) who have severe multiple impairments are being supported by 91�� through this project since 2011-12.

91�� INKS STRATEGIC MOU WITH BORDER ROADS ORGANISATION: 27 NOS. 91�� MAKE, FIRST OF ITS KIND MODULAR DOUBLE-LANE STEEL BRIDGES, TO BE SUPPLIED

KOLKATA, 16 MAR 2022: Facilitating roadway infrastructure development in difficult terrains of India, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for the fabrication, supply, erection and launching of first-of-its-kind, 27 nos. double-lane Class 70 modular steel bridges in border areas. The two year contract worth Rs. 65 Crore (approx.) was inked by Director General Border Roads Organisation, Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhary and Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Officiating Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, in New Delhi on 15 Mar 22. These bridges have been designed in-house by 91�� & all components have been manufactured with 100% indigenous raw materials, in line with India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. Live load testing had been completed successfully on the prototype and connectivity through these bridges shall be an ideal solution for strategic roadway infrastructure development in North & North-East India. The first bridge of this kind, was constructed at Flaghill, Dokalam, Sikkim at an altitude of 11,000 feet under Project Swastik of the BRO, inaugurated by Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh on 28 December 2021. The bridges have a carriageway width of 7.5 meters, permitting plying of two-way traffic in compliance with specifications laid down by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). High tensile steel of Grade E-410 ensures high strength, long life and low temperature applications. The galvanized surface finish ensures easier maintenance and longer service life. Load Class IRC 70R permits movement of both Wheeled/ Tracked Vehicles of up to 100 / 70 MT. The modular concept ensures easier transportation of bridge components to remote areas and faster erection of bridges in a short span of 30 to 45 days. 91�� has delivered more than 5300 Portable Steel Bridges to Indian Army, Border Road Organisation and State Governments & exported to friendly neighbourhood countries including Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka & Myanmar.

Kolkata, 02 Mar 22: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, bid farewell to CMD Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd.) on 28 Feb 2022. After an illustrious career spanning over three decades in the Indian Navy, Rear Admiral VK Saxena, took over as Chairman and Managing Director of 91�� on 01 Mar 17. Right from day one Admiral VK Saxena’s leadership as CMD 91�� has been marked by remarkable adroitness in making his vision a reality while putting people first and celebrating targets together. It was in his tenure that 91�� achieved the distinction of delivering 15 warships in a short span of 60 months. Under the dynamic leadership of Admiral VK Saxena, 91�� also created history by delivering the “100th Warship”, a Landing Craft Utility, L-56 on March 30, 2019, to the Indian Navy. With this achievement, the 91�� became the first Indian Shipyard to build and deliver 100 warships to our Maritime Forces. It is because of his insight, and ability to think out of the box, that 91�� has clinched highly coveted deals. The Shipyard is currently executing 06 prestigious projects of 23 ships including ships for exports. The celebration at 91�� Bhawanstarted with unfurling of National Flag by Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, in the presence of Cmde. PR Hari, IN (Retd), Director (Personnel), Shri. R K Dash, Director (Finance), Comdt Shashi Ranjan, CISF and other senior officials and employees of 91�� followed by National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering, Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd.) CMD, 91�� applauded all officers and workers towards the achievement of “Excellent”MoU Rating for the year 2021, whilst 91�� navigated through the difficult times of the pandemic facing many challenges. Kolkata today.

The oxygen plant at BSSH was inaugurated by Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel), 91�� in the presence of Swami Brahmatmananda Ji. Secretary, BSSH and Senior Officials of 91�� & BSSH. The newly installed 10-12 M3 / Hr capacity plant at the hospital aims to reduce dependency on local oxygen suppliers and thereby strengthening public health system in any emergency situation.

Earlier in the year, 91�� has aided in setting up two Medical Oxygen Generator Plants at Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan and Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research, Thakurpur. Kolkata, 27 December 21:��With an impetus on improving Safety culture at workplace ,Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a leading warship building Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU of India, today inaugurated Group Safety Training Kiosk (GSTK) at its Main Unit.

The Safety Training Kiosk was inaugurated by Rear Admiral V.K. Saxena, IN (Retd.) Chairman & Managing Director 91�� in august presence of Cmde Sanjeev Nayyar, IN (Retd.), Director (Shipbuilding), Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel) and other senior officials of 91��

The newly formed GSTK will work as a system-based safety training facility for workmen and minimize accident at workplace. With GSTK in place, the shipyard aims to provide optimum training to workers through audio-visual mode and keep track of the training data. The Kiosk will also help workers to visualize potential safety hazards and precautions thereof, in an effective manner. After successful completion of safety training, all workmen including contract workers will be provided with safety passes.

Inaugurating the Group Safety Training Kiosk for workmen, Rear Admiral V.K. Saxena, IN (Retd.) Chairman & Managing Director 91��,��said, “Improving the culture of safe work practices inside the shipyard is the need of the hour today and the GSTK will aid in inculcating the habit of safe and vigilant behavior amongst workforce and help in taking corrective actions related to safety at workplace.”

Kolkata, 21 Dec 21:��Celebrating GoI’s flagship initiative of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and continuing its marchto achieve self-reliancein Warship building, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and leading warship building company of India laid the Keel of 5th of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts (ASWSWCs) today at 91�� Main Works Unit Kolkata. The design of these ships has been done completely in-house by 91��.

The keel laying ceremony marks a centuries old tradition heralding the start of a ship’s construction at site. As per 91��’s custom, the keel laying of 5th ASWSWC was done by Shri Shyamal Kumar Sikdar, a senior operative of 91��.

The 5thAnti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft is a part of eight such warships being built by 91��,the order for which was bagged through a competitive bidding process. The primary role of shallow water craft is to conduct Anti-submarine operations in coastal waters, Low intensity maritime operations and Mine laying operations. The Craft is designed for a Deep Displacement of 750 Tons, Complement of 57 and capable of full scale Sub Surface Surveillance of Coastal Waters, Search Attack Unit (SAU) and Coordinated ASW operations with Aircraft. These Vessels are propelled by Water Jets capable of reaching maximum speed of 25 Knots and are compact and loaded with anti-submarine weapons (LightWeight Torpedoes, ASW rockets and Combat Management System).

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Shri V.L Kantha Rao, Additional Secretary & Director General (Acquisition) highlighted that the Acquisition Wing of the Ministry of Defence has formulated several measures to speed up the procurement in the Armed Forces. The DG(Acquisition) complimented 91�� on its performance in shipbuilding and highlighted the tremendous shipbuilding opportunities in immediate future for Indian Shipbuilders.C&MD 91�� Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN(Retd.), in his address, highlighted that 91�� has delivered 70 ships to the Indian Navy and 15 more are at various stages of construction by 91��. The C&MD acknowledged the support of the Indian Navy and the Warship Overseeing Team at Kolkata towards the achievement of several milestones by 91��. He complimented team 91�� for achieving today’s milestone within 15 days of launching the Survey Vessel Largeand that too at the same building berth.

Apart from building eight ASWSWCs for the Indian Navy, the Shipyard is currently executing indigenous shipbuilding projects which include three Advanced Frigates under Project 17A, four Survey Vessels (Large) & one Fast Patrol Vessel for the Indian Coast Guard. With its core emphasis on exports, the shipyard is also building ships for the Republic of Guyana and a government agency of Bangladesh.

Kolkata, 13 Dec 2021:��To commemorate India@75 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India commenced a seven day public exhibition showcasing its decades of legacy in shipbuilding, current and futuristic products at Science City Kolkata, Indian Maritime University Kolkata & Diesel Engine Plant, Ranchi 91�� from December 13-19, 2021. The exhibitions in all three locations were virtually inaugurated by the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh today. Cmde PR Hari IN (Retd), Director (Personnel), Shri RK Dash, Director (Finance), 91�� and Senior Officials of 91�� were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The inaugural day of India@75 public exhibition also witnessed the participation from students of local schools and the general public at large to have a first-hand glimpse of 91��’s shipbuilding operations, indigenous capabilities, and various classes of ships delivered to Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and friendly foreign countries. 91�� built Portable steel bridge models are also displayed at the exhibitions.

With the digital and physical displays, visitors can catch a glimpse of 91��’s contributions to the nation’s self-reliance capabilities in shipbuilding and allied areas and its engagement with the people of Kolkata. These exhibitions are open to public from December 13-19, 2021 (10:30 AM to 5:30 PM), with no entry fee.

(91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India achieved another milestone today with the launch of the first Survey Vessel, in the series of four ships under the Survey Vessel (Large) project for the Indian Navy. Upholding the maritime traditions, the ship was named “Sandhayak” and “Launched” by Smt Pushpa Bhatt, wife of Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was conducted in true maritime traditions with the application of vermillion, breaking of coconut on the ship’s bow and chanting of vedic mantras. The ‘Launch’ symbolizes the “birth” of the ship as she makes her first contact with water and is floated out for from her building berth. For the first time, this special ceremony was also witnessed by more than 100 students from various city schools, NCC cadets and other citizens of Kolkata including revered monks from Ramakrishna Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata. This initiative under the aegis of ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ activities, provided the citizens of Kolkata a glimpse of the ‘Warship’ building activity happening in their city!

These survey ships are capable of full scale coastal & deep-water hydrographic survey of Ports & Harbor approaches & determination of navigational channels & routes. In addition, these ships are also capable of undertaking survey of Maritime limits and collection of Oceanographic & Geographical data for Defence applications, thus boost the maritime capabilities of the country. These ships are propelled by two Marine Diesel Engines combined with Fixed Pitch Propellers and fitted with Bow & Stern Thrusters for maneuvering at low speeds during surveys. The ships are fully designed by the Design team of 91�� to meet the requirements of the Indian Navy and are being built & outfitted utilising the concepts of ‘Integrated Construction’ and in compliance with applicable provisions and regulations of the Classification Society (IRS).

On this momentous occasion, Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri (Minister of State for Defence), appreciated 91��’s efforts and��said, “Launch of first Survey Vessel (Large) ‘Sandhayak’ today reinforces our commitment for indigenous shipbuilding as part of our Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’, and thrust to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India). Highlighting the achievement of another key milestone for the Shipyard, Rear Admiral V.K.Saxena, IN (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director��said, “The Survey Vessel (Large) is one of our proud creations for the Indian Navy and coincidentally the��previous ‘Sandhayak’ class of Hydrographic Survey Ships were also built by 91��. The first ship of that class “Sandhayak” got decommissioned in Jun 2021 after 40 years of glorious service to the nation and her name lives on in true traditions of the Indian Navy. Inauguration of 91��-KPDD Unit

Kolkata, 01 Dec 21:��As a part of Concession Agreement signed between Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India and Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMP Kolkata) on 7th October, 2021 in presence of Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Govt of India and towards development & utilisation of three existing dry docks of Khidderpore, Kolkata, 91�� and SMP Kolkata today jointly inaugurated the 91��-KPDD (Khidderpore Dry Dock) Unit in Kolkata.

The facility was inaugurated in the august presence of Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, 91�� and Shri Vinit Kumar, IRSEE, Chairman, SMPK and senior officials of 91�� & SMPK.

Under the agreement, both 91�� & SMP, Kolkata shall look forward towards developing a dynamic partnership in exploring new business opportunities in Ship repair & refit of Defence & commercial segments, leading to revenue generation and contributing to skill development, infrastructure upgrade and employment generation in Kolkata.

On the occasion Rear Admiral VK Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director, 91��said, “As part of the investment promotional activity of maritime India, this agreement aims to play a significant role towards growth plans for both the organisations and effective utilisation of the three existing docks at SMP, Kolkata. Kolkata, 20 Nov 21:��Marching towards fulfilling the vision of becoming a global shipbuilder, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and leading warship building company of India, achieved another milestone today by laying the Keel of the ‘Ocean-Going Passenger cum Cargo Vessel’ at Kolkata, a prestigious project under execution for the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

The Keel laying ceremony of the Ocean-Going Vessel was conducted in the august presence of Captain Stephen Thomas, Director General, Maritime Administration Department, Mrs. Ronalda Edwards-Horatio, Charge’ D’ Affaires, A.I., Guyana High Commission, India, Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN(Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, Directors of 91�� and other Senior Officials of 91�� and Transport & Harbour Department, Guyana.

The 70 m long vessel with a displacement of 1700 Tonnes is propelled by two diesel Engines and Twin Disc Gear Boxes to achieve a maximum speed of 15 Knots. The ship has been fully designed by the 91�� design teams and can accommodate 294 passengers (including 14 crew members) along with 14 cars, 02 trucks, and 14 containers & cargo and is planned to operate in the coastal and riverine area of Northwest District of Guyana.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Captain Stephen Thomas, Director General, Maritime Administration Department, expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project and said, “This project is a distinct enterprise for the Government of Guyana designed to provide smart transportation of passengers and cargo. Catering to the needs of our people, the vessel will prove to be an efficient mode of transport for the passengers and cargo movement in Guyana. This cooperation with India’s leading shipbuilder 91��, highlights our stable and long-term relationship with India.”

Kolkata, 19 Nov 21:��Two Medical Oxygen Generator Plants (MOGP) under its CSR initiatives were inaugurated by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), – a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and the leading warship building company of India at Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan (RMSP) and Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute (SGCCRI) in Kolkata, today.

The 26 NM3 Capacity oxygen plant at RMSP was inaugurated by Rear Admiral V.K. Saxena, IN (Retd,), CMD, 91�� in presence of Swami Nityakamananda Ji, Secretary Ramikrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan (RMSP), Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd), Director (Personnel), 91��, and Senior Officials of 91�� and RMSP.

Considering the possibility of a coronavirus third wave, the newly established MOGPs aim to address oxygen crisis, if any, for COVID-19 patients in the city. Firmly committed to the cause of humanity amidst the Covid-19 spread, and in continuing its fight against the pandemic, the initiative by 91�� is expected to play a pivotal role in making these hospitals self-reliant while battling the deadly virus. The MOGP at RMSP helps in avoiding dependency on scarcity of oxygen cylinders by enabling the hospital generate on site medical oxygen in a cost effective manner.

The Board of Directors of the Company recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.15/- per equity share of face value of Rs.10/- each for the financial year 2020-21. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs.3.85/- per equity share of face value of Rs. 10/- each which was paid on 24 Feb 2021. The total Dividend declared for the Financial Year 2020-21 is Rs. 5/- per equity share of face value of Rs.10/- each. Kolkata, 10��Aug��21:��Augmenting its contribution to society amidst the Covid-19, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, signed an MoU for installation of��Medical Oxygen Plant under its CSR Initiatives at Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan (RMSP).

The 26 NM3 capacity oxygen plant will be installed at the hospital premise of RMSP. Recently, 91�� set up a dedicated Covid Vaccination Centre at its Main Unit where over 1500 permanent and contractual employees of 91��, along with 112 family members have been successfully vaccinated. The company also signed MoUs with two medical institutions in Kolkata, the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Thakurpukur and Bharat Sevashram Sangha Hospital, Joka, to set up two Medical Oxygen Plants and donated 02 Ambulances to Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

The Plate Cutting e-ceremony was held in the august presence of His Excellency, Shri Charrandass Persaud, Hon’ble High Commissioner of Govt. of Co-Operative Republic of Guyana. Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, Cmde S Nayyar, IN (Retd.), Director (Shipbuilding), Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel), Shri R K Dash, Director (Finance) and senior officials of 91�� were present at the occasion.

91�� bagged the order for this vessel on competitive bidding, and the Contract was signed with the Transport and Harbours Department of Govt. of Guyana, on 13 Jan 2021. Plate cutting signifies successful completion of pre-production activities and the same has been achieved amidst the Covid pandemic with its share of lockdowns & restrictions.

The 70 M long, 1700 Tonnes vessel will be propelled by 02 Caterpillar Engines and Twin Disc Gear Boxes to achieve a maximum speed of 15 Knots. This fuel efficient vessel has been designed for carrying passengers & cargo in the coastal and riverine area of Northwest District of Guyana. The ship is designed to carry 276 passengers & 14 crew members along with 14 cars, 02 trucks, 10 containers and 04 refrigerated containers.

His Excellency Mr. Charrandass Persaud, Hon’ble High Commissioner of Govt. of Co-Operative Republic of Guyana, in his address said, “This project is a distinct initiative for Government of Guyana aimed at smart transportation of passengers and cargo. This vessel will create a new benchmark in the field of passenger and cargo movement for Northwest District of Guyana.”

The Survey Vessel is the 3rd of the four ships being built by 91�� under the SVL project. The vessels are capable of full scale coastal & deep water hydrographic survey with their advanced survey equipment. TheVessels are 110m Long with a Deep Displacement of 3300 Tons and accommodation of 231 Personnel. They are designed for a cruising speed of 16 knots with an in-house Hull Form Design of 91�� that imparts a superior level of operational efficiency. The Hull form of these new generations Survey Vessel meets the stringent sea keeping and maneuvering requirements including Helicopter Operations at high sea states. The vessels are propelled by two marine diesel engines and also have bow &stern thrusters for maneuvering at low speeds during surveys. The ships are being built & outfitted as per the applicable provisions & regulations of the classification society.

This ASWSWC is the 1st of the eight vessels being built by 91��. The Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts are designed for a Deep Displacement of 750 Tons, Speed of 25 Knots and Complement of 57 and capable of full scale Sub Surface Surveillance of Coastal Waters, SAU and Coordinated ASW operations with Aircraft. These Vessels are propelled by Water Jets capable of reaching maximum speed of 25 Knots and are compact and loaded with anti-submarine weapons (light weight torpedoes, ASW rockets and mines).The in-house design team overcame the challenges posed due to the stringent radiated noise & magnetic signature limits for these vessels.

This vessel is being constructed for Indian Coast Guard as a replacement for the recently exported FPV SCG PS Zoroaster which was handed over by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modito Govt. of Seychelles

The FPVs are medium-range surface vessels with a length of 50 m, a width of 7.5 m and displacement of around 308 T and are proficient at operating in the maritime zones of India. These powerful, fuel-efficient platforms are designed to perform multipurpose operations like patrolling, anti-smuggling, anti-poaching, and rescue operations. The vessels are designed for a maximum speed of 34 knots with an endurance of more than 1,500 nautical miles. It will be equipped with 03 MTU 4000 series engine and built up with Advanced Control Systems, Water Jet Units and Integrated Bridge System for all communication and navigation structures. The ship is also fitted with 40/60 gun as the main armament with improved habitability features of fully air-conditioned modularaccommodation for 35 personnel. The entire design of these FPVs has been developed In-House by 91�� as per requirements specified by the Indian Coast Guard

91�� also Started Production of Second and Third Ship (Yard 3030 & Yard 3031) of the Eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASWSWC)project on 14 Jul 2021. ‘Start Production’ is the first ‘Milestone’ in shipbuilding and signifies commencement of vessel construction after design engineering phase. The compact and complex stealth crafts are designed by 91��, and these platforms will be packed with state-of-the-art weapons and sensors like Hull Mounted Sonar, Towed Sonar, Torpedo Launchers and Rocket Launcher to interdict and destroy sub-surface targets in coastal waters. The crafts are capable of ‘Search & Rescue’ and ‘Low Intensity Maritime Operations’ and are propelled by water-jets capable of high speed movement.

The shipyard is currently executing three major shipbuilding projects, namely the P17A Project for 3 Advanced Stealth Frigates, 4 Survey Vessels (Large) and 8 Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts.The Shipyard also received an Export Order from Govt of Guyana for Design, Construction and Delivery of 01 Ocean Going Passenger cum Cargo Ferry Vessel. The vessel is under construction.With proven export credentials backed by a healthy order book, the shipyard is well on its way to realise its vision of being a global leader in shipbuilding.

The 13 m Surveillance Patrol Boats for Marine Fisheries Surveillance Checkpost (MFSC), Government of Bangladesh will be used in Surveillance Activities, Shallow Water Operation and Patrolling Fishing grounds day and night for illegal fishing gears& retrieval of survivors. The Patrol Crafts will be fitted with water jet drive, suitable for shallow water operation up to 0.60 m.

91�� has the distinction on exporting the first ‘Made in India’ warship when the shipyard delivered a multipurpose Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV),CGS Barracuda to the Mauritius Coast Guard. Kolkata, 28JUN 21:��Adopting the latest technology with respect to security of infrastructure and other assets, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company has commencedtoday an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled high end CCTV network across its five units in Kolkata at a cost of Rs 12.95 Crore.

The state-of-the-art technology will enable surveillance of 152.81 acre area of the shipyard to ensure 24×7 safety and security of all its premises. The AI enabled system will also prove to be a valuable tool during any investigation, detecting unauthorized intrusion or trespassing.

The AI enabled CCTV system was set into operation at the Main Control room, 91�� Main Unit in the august presence of Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, Shri George Kuruvilla, CMD, BECIL, Cmde Sanjeev Nayyar, IN (Retd.), Director (Shipbuilding) and Shri. R.K. Dash, Director (Finance) and senior officials of 91�� and BECIL.

Thisflexible and intelligent security of 91��’sinfrastructure is the need ofthe hour for a defence PSU and the shipyard has deployed the CCTV Network to boost operational safety and productivity.

All the CCTV cameras across the units are integrated with each other. The special Artificial Intelligence feature that has been enabled in the CCTV system includes tracking unidentified goods and materials, automatic alarm in case of unusual gathering of personnel, tracking alarm of camera tampering, automatic alarm for trespassing/intrusion and tracking of personnel/vehicles of dubious nature.

Since its inception as a DefencePSU in 1960, 91�� has built 788 platforms which include 107 warships to Maritime security forces, which is the highest number of warships built & delivered by any shipyard in the country, till date. 91�� has the capability to construct 20 ships concurrently, using its modernized infrastructure and ‘Modular Integrated Construction Philosophy’. Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��commissioned the new Crane in the august presence of CmdeSanjeevNayyar, IN (Retd.), Director (Shipbuilding), Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel) and Shri. R.K. Dash, Director (Finance) and senior officials of 91��.

Thismodern Goliath crane with a capacity of 250 tonnes, height of 59.6 metres, width of 35.5metres and span 116 metres, has been manufactured in M/s Sangsangin Marine, South Korea and transported by sea to 91�� in fully assembled condition.This crane is equipped with an automated smart control system that requires just one operator managing the giant.

Highlighting the significance of this state-of-the-art Goliath Crane, Rear Admiral VK Saxena, CMD, 91�� said, “The newly commissioned Goliath Crane is a major contributor towards undertaking integrated shipbuilding using advanced modular construction technology at 91�� to facilitate construction of larger ships in reduced timeframe.The availability of the Goliath crane shall boost the production capacity of 91�� for undertaking concurrent construction with respect to its ongoing and future projects.It is understood that an evolution of transportation of a fully assembled goliath crane by sea and the complex process of unloading from ship to shore directly on crane tracks has been undertaken for the first time in India.”

The gigantic Crane started its journey from Korea on 06 Dec 2020.�� After overcoming rough weather and sea conditions of South China Sea and maneuvering narrow sharp bends of Hooghly River, the vessel finally reached 91�� on 21 Feb 2021.Unloading and Completion of parking of the Goliath crane was a mammoth & continuous day night task involving several stakeholders.Overcoming technical challenges, finally on 26 Feb 2021, the crane was parked in its position. Further activities including setting to work and trials were ��completed over the last four months amidst the lethal 2^nd��wave of the Covid pandemic and lockdown and the crane has been commissioned today.

FAMILY MEMBERS OF 91�� EMPLOYEES VACCINATED AT ITS FOJ UNIT IN KOLKATA

Kolkata, 11 June 21: > Implementing all the effective measures to prevent Covid-19 and taking GOI’s vaccination drive further, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, today organized a vaccination drive for its employees’ family members at 91�� FOJ Unit by collaborating with the private hospitals.

At the beginning of this month, 91�� had started a much needed vaccination drive for its employees and their family members in Kolkata to contain the second wave of COVID-19. Under the initiative, the Shipyard has set up a dedicated Covid Vaccination Centre at 91�� Main unit. Over 1500 permanent and contractual employees, along with 112 family members have been successfully vaccinated during the drive. The Departmental Heads, senior officers and staff members of 91�� ensured all the necessary COVID protocols throughout the vaccination drive.

Earlier, 91�� has signed MoU with two medical institutions in Kolkata, the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Thakurpukur and Bharat Sevashram Sangha Hospital, Joka, to set up two Medical Oxygen Plants and donated 02 ambulances to Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

The Shipyard stands firm in its commitment towardsthe country’s fight against COVID-19through this dedicated center which will provide vaccination to all regular and contractual employees of the company, commencing from 31 May 21.91��’s COVID-19 Vaccination Centre wasinaugurated byRear Admiral V.K. Kolkata, 03 May 21:��Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, operating under administrative control of the Ministry of Defence,signed MoU with Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Thakurpukur and Bharat Sevashram Sangha Hospital, Joka, for providing support to these hospitals to set up Medical Oxygen Plants under its CSR initiative.

The Oxygen Plants are to be installed in the hospital premises of Saroj Gupta Cancer & Research Institute comprising of 310 beds and Bharat Sevashram Sangha Hospital with 100 beds. Each Plant has the capacity to produce 40 to 50 cylinder per day. Recently, Bharat Sevashram Sangha Hospital has also started a covid ward due to the latest surge in the pandemic. 91�� stands in solidarity with the people of India in battling the second wave of Covid-19 and as a responsible corporate entity is committed in taking up different developmental projects as a part of its CSR initiative towards improving the quality of lives of people thereby making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Kolkata, 28 APR 21:��Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (91��), a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship building company of India, operating under administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, communed celebrations of the Country’s 75 years of Independence (India@75) – Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav through a week-long celebrations. The highlight of the commemorations was the e-release of 91��’s Annual In-house Journal VARTA 2021 by Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar in the august presence of Rear Admiral V. K. Saxena, IN (Retd.) Chairman and Managing Director, 91��, Cmde Sanjeev Nayyar, Director (Shipbuilding), Cmde P R Hari, Director (Personnel), and other Senior Officials of 91�� on 28 April 21.

The Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal in his address commended 91�� in contributing to the strategic needs of India’s maritime interests and security. He also mentioned that the track record for delivery of 788 platforms including 107 warships by the shipyard, is a rare honour. The delivery of warships in recent times inspite of challenges, is a tribute to Team 91�� and its leadership, he said. While applauding the achievement of 90% indigenous content on board 91��’s warships, 91��’s contribution to the PM Cares fund and to various other organizations in the State of West Bengal through CSR activities, was also appreciated by the Hon’ble Governor.

The week-long celebrations saw five focused Webinars on enhancing ‘Aatmanirbharta’ with the first one on “Enhancing Workplace Productivity through Quality Circle” on 23 Apr 21 that included 91��’s employees, apprentices and subcontractor working in 91��. On 24 Apr 21, a “Webinar on 91��’s success story of indigenization, was conducted with reference to 90% indigenous content on board Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvettes and Landing Craft Utility Vessels. 91��’s future plans for indigenization onboard it’s ships and engineering products, was also discussed. 27 Apr 21 saw another, “Webinar on Green Energy for Inland Water Transportation in India” which focused on the key points like avaliability of design, necessary equipment fit availability in India, possibility of indigenous production of equipment, required upgradation of Merchant Shipping act or other regulatory rules requirement and possibility of export to the neighbouring countries. A “Webinar on Skill Enhancement Program for 91�� Employees on Implementation and Sustenance of IMS” and “Webinar on Enhancing Supply Chain Management at 91��”, was conducted on 28 Apr 21.

91�� built Fast Patrol Vessel SCG PS Zoroaster Handed over by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to Seychelles Coast Guard

08 Apr 21 :��In line with India’s vision of ‘SAGAR’ (Security And Growth for All in the Region) that puts ‘Neighbourhood first’, Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), SCG PS Zoroaster built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (91��), Kolkata, a leading shipyard of India was handed over to the Seychelles Coast Guard by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in the presence of His Excellency Wavel Ramkalawan, President of the Republic of Seychelles. The handing over ceremony was conducted in virtual mode in presence of senior dignitaries of both countries.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi in his address stated that India is committed to strengthening the maritime security of Seychelles and this new state-of-the-art ‘Made in India’ Fast Patrol Vessel will help Seychelles Coast Guard to protect its maritime resources.

President of Republic of Seychelles His Excellency Wavel Ramkalawan in his speech acknowledged that the donation of the Fast Patrol Vessel ‘Zoroaster’ by the Government of India comes at a certain opportune moment, reinforcing the efforts of the two nations to combat and deter maritime crimes with specific emphasis on counter narcotic operations within the vast expanse of the maritime zones of the two nations. He added that the state-of-the art vessel represents a key element in achieving this objective as well as enabling the Seychelles Coast Guard to fulfill its principle mission of defending the Seychelles territory, thus contributing to regional stability and security.

The SCG PS ‘Zoroaster’, is from the line of Fast Patrol Vessels being built by 91�� and with proven performance with the Indian Coast Guard. The ship is a powerful, fuel-efficient platform designed to perform multipurpose operations, such as patrolling, anti-smuggling, anti-poaching, and search and rescue (SAR). With a maximum speed of 34 knots and an endurance of more than 1500 nautical miles, this 50 m FPV with a waterjet propulsion system, advanced controls and a 40/60 gun as the main armament, has the capability to undertake Maritime Missions of the Seychelles Coast Guard. The vessel also has improved habitability features with fully air-conditioned modular accommodation for 35 personnel. The overall design of the FPV has been developed in-house by 91��. The Shipbuilder shall also be supporting the ship at Seychelles for three years.

91�� has also delivered CGS Barracuda, a multipurpose compact Offshore Patrol Vessel to Mauritius Coast Guard, thereby becoming the first Indian shipyard to have exported a warship in 2015. The Shipyard is presently undertaking the repairs and maintenance of the ship at Kolkata. 91�� has proven capabilities along with a dedicated building yard for Fast Patrol Vessels and Offshore Patrol Vessels. Recently, 91�� also bagged an order for construction & supply of 01 Ocean Going Passenger & Cargo Vessel for Republic of Guyana thus getting underway to becoming a global player in the warship building arena.

Since its inception as a Defence PSU in 1960, 91�� has built 788 platforms which include 107 warships to Maritime security forces, which is the highest number of warships built & delivered by any shipyard in the country, till date. 91�� has the capability to construct 20 ships concurrently, using its modernized infrastructure and ‘Modular Integrated Construction Philosophy’. Further, the dedicated, multi-disciplinary, in-house Design Team of the shipyard is continuously working towards developing various concept designs for ships that can cater to the current and future requirements of Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. 91�� has also been steering research and development for energy efficient technologies that can be inducted into service on India’s in-land waterways and also provide cost effective solutions to other nations.

91��’s CSR INITIATIVE IN ASSOCIATION WITH RAMAKRISHNA MISSION, BELUR MATH & INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CEREBRAL PALSY (IICP)

Kolkata, 01 Apr 21:��Maintaining the strong relationship and support to the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP),since 2009, Rear Admiral V.K. Saxena, IN (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, 91��, handed over a ceremonial cheque of Rs 53.08 lakh to the institute’s Life Skill Training Unit. 91�� had adopted 02 Education Development Units (EDU IV &V) and 01 Vocational Training Unit. The Company had also taken care of the renovation and repair work of IICP building which was damaged during Amphan. 91�� has also provided a Tata Winger mini bus with foldable ramps for easy transportation for differently abled children.

The Life Skill Training Unit comprises of 03 Classes covering approx. 40-45 special children who have severe multiple impairments. They are imparted training in basic academic and life oriented language and numeracy skills for achieving minimum level of self- reliance. The children, aged between 14-18 years, are trained in pre-vocation skills like block printing, making bead & junk jewellery, paper bags/ packets from newspaper, greeting cards, decorated earthen lamps, diyas, rakhis etc.

To continue with the on-going commitment to enhance the lives of the communities it operates in, 91��, signed a new MOU with Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, which is an initiative to support 05 new Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP) Units at Ranchi. The MoU was signed in the august presence of Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel), 91��, Swami Bodhasarananda Ji Maharaj, the Assistant General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and other senior officials of 91��.

The new 05 Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP) units of Ramakrishna Mission includes 02 units located in Khunti and Ranchi Districts in Jharkhand and 03 units located in West Bengal from FY 2021-22 for an approx. project cost of Rs. 1.01 Crore for three years. This initiative is aimed towards holistic development of approx. 255 underprivileged tribal children of Badree, Getalsud, Kuturloba and Tupudana of Ranchi district from FY 2019-20 to 2022-23.

Under this project, in addition to conducting daily classes for academic development, daily nutritive food supplements, periodic medical check-up, health awareness classes, free-hand exercise / yoga sessions, sports activities will be undertaken for intellectual and physical development of the children. Toiletry items like toothpaste, tooth brush, soap, hair oil, socks, footwear etc. will be provided to each child for ensuring personal hygiene.

The Shipyard had also recently undertaken a project for construction of new facilities in R.B Institute for 45 special children. 91�� has constructed one class room, one hall and one auditorium cum prayer room was renovated. In the time of Covid-19 crisis and Post Super Cyclone Amphan, the shipyard participated in rebuilding the economy, by contributing Rs. 10 lakhs to the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund and donating Rs. 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. The shipyard as corporate entity is committed in taking up different developmental projects as a part of its CSR initiative towards improving the quality of lives of the underprivileged sections of the society and other stakeholders primarily around its facilities and anywhere in India thereby making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and strive to contribute towards sustainable development of the society.
